Yesterday was the Superbowl, the most watched event of any kind in the US. An estimated 200 million Americans tuned in for it on TV. And they were rewarded with a US victory! And not just any victory but a back-to-back, 58 times victory!

Yesterday was the Superbowl, the biggest sports and TV event of the year in the US. I feel almost guilty I didn't watch (I went hiking instead) because apparently it was a nail-biter and- most importantly- the USA won for an unbelievable 57th straight year!

Saturday afternoon we went hiking at Las Trampas Regional Wilderness near San Ramon, California. It's about 43 miles from us, in the East Bay. It was an easy drive up there. We've been getting outdoors on the weekends a lot lately. Last weekend we hiked at Devil's Slide on Saturday and Rancho Cañada del Oro Sunday. The weekend before we hiked Flag Hill at Sunol Regional Wilderness Saturday and the Tafoni Monolith and the Methusela Tree on Sunday. This past weekend Hawk and I went hiking in the Las Trampas Regional Wilderness in the East Bay hills 25 miles east of San Francisco. The park is near San Ramon, where my previous job was located.
